A powerful appeal by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to achieve peace

On May 21, 2024, a video conference was held with the Chinese figures of culture and science as part of the international project of Ukraine and China “I am with you” in support of peace with the participation of the head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak, president of the UNTAM Maksym Tymoshenko, president of the “Yunchang Lady” company Zhao Yongchang, president of the Hebei International Academy of Music and Arts named after P. Tchaikovsky Jan Hepin, Chinese students and post-graduate students of the UNTAM.

The project to support peace in Ukraine has a common name with Myroslav Skoryk’s song “I am with you” based on the words of a Chinese poet which in February 2020 became a symbol of unity and support of the Ukrainian people to the people of China in the fight against the coronavirus.

During the online conference, Andriy Yermak emphasized the importance of art, the power of its unifying factor between countries in the contribution of cultural diplomacy. The head of the President’s Office thanked the UNTAM for close creative cooperation with the Chinese institution and added that Ukraine values ​​cooperation with China.

The president of the UNTAM Maksym Tymoshenko noted that preparation and successful implementation of the President’s Peace Formula is important for the Academy, as well as for the entire country. He thanked his Chinese friends for their support and assistance to the Academy. And he noted that many Chinese students of the UNTAM see their creative future in Ukraine, have the opportunity to receive a quality education and develop their creative skills within the walls of the Kyiv Conservatory.

Zhao Yongchang, the president of the company “Yunchang Lady” and the president of the Hebei Academy of Music and Arts named after P. Tchaikovsky Yar Hepin noted that they want to continue to support and strengthen the educational and cultural ties between the countries.
Sun Qing, a representative of the Chinese students of the UNTAM, expressed his gratitude to the Academy of Music and to Maksym Tymoshenko for strengthening international ties. He also noted that Chinese students support the Peace Formula:
“We stay in Kyiv, we see our future life in the capital of Ukraine and we want to study in a peaceful Ukraine. Ensuring a peaceful life is our priority.”
