Maksym TYMOSHENKO is a Ukrainian culturologist and society figure. A Doctor of Philosophy, Professor, and Honored Art Worker of Ukraine, he is the President of the International Social and Patriotic Foundation “Dni Ukrainy”, Green Cross International Board Member and President of Green Cross Ukraine.

He graduated from the Lysenko Kyiv Specialized Music Boarding School in 1990 and was admitted to the Kyiv State Theatre Institute (now known as the Kyiv National I. K. Karpenko-Kary Theatre, Cinema and Television University) in 1991.

In 1994, Mr. Tymoshenko entered the Kyiv State Economic University (now known as the Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman) and qualified as MBA in 1996.

In 2012, he received the second higher education at the National Academy of Government Managerial Staff of Culture and Arts, upheld his thesis and took a degree of doctor of philosophy.

In 2013 elected full member of the Ukrainian Technological Academy responsible for environmental issues and awarded a title of the Academician. Professor of the Department of Cultural Science and Innovative Culture and Arts Projects at the National Academy of Government Managerial Staff of Culture and Arts and full member of Ukrainian Academy of Sciences since 2014.

Mr. Tymoshenko is the author of more than 20 publications in peer-reviewed journals and periodicals. These include, to name but a few, such leading journals on cultural studies approved by Ukraine’s Higher Attestation Commission as Culture and Modernity, Contemporary Issues in Artistic Culture’s Theory, History and Practice, and Bulletin of the National Academy of Government Managerial Staff of Culture and Arts. Maksym Tymoshenko co-authored the Ukrainian Ethnic and Cultural Science Encyclopaedia (2013) and the Ukrainian Encyclopaedia of Ethnic Art History and Ethnic Cultural Studies (2015), the only five-volume encyclopaedic publications of their kind in Ukraine. Mr. Tymoshenko is also the author of the International Humanitarian Strategies: Theory and Practice textbook approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for use in higher education institutions.
