UNTAM Becomes Leader Among Arts Universities in H-index Ranking 2026
The Ukrainian National Tchaikovsky Music Academy has once again confirmed its high standing in Ukraine’s academic and educational landscape, taking the leading position among arts higher education institutions according to the annual Ukrainian National H-index Ranking 2026.
According to the results of the study, among 163 of the country’s most influential universities and research institutions, the Academy demonstrated the highest performance among arts institutions in terms of scientific productivity and publication activity. This achievement is a vivid testament to the systematic work of its faculty, researchers, and students, who ежедневно shape Ukraine’s modern intellectual and artistic space.
The H-index ranking is one of the key indicators of research effectiveness, as it takes into account not only the number of publications but also their citation impact in international scientometric databases. The Academy’s high position in this ranking confirms its significant contribution to the development of musicology, performing arts, pedagogy, and interdisciplinary research.
It is especially important that this success has been achieved under the challenging conditions facing Ukrainian education and culture. Despite all difficulties, the Academy’s community continues to work actively, maintain international connections, and implement innovative approaches to teaching and creativity.
This recognition is the result of the collective efforts of the entire academic community: faculty, students, postgraduate researchers, alumni, and partners. Thanks to their dedication, professionalism, and inspiration, the UNTAM remains a flagship of arts education in Ukraine.
